The following rates apply to all therapeutic services at Able Healthcare:

All treatment fees include 15% HST.
  • 30 minutes: $55.00
  • 45 minutes: $67.00
  • 60 minutes: $80.00
  • 75 minutes: $95.00
  • 90 minutes: $120.00
Seniors 65+/Youth/Students
  • 30 minutes: $50.00
  • 45 minutes: $62.00
  • 60 minutes: $75.00
  • 90 minutes: $115.00
Youth: aged 11-16; youth up to age 16 must be accompanied by an adult
Students: must be full-time students with valid student card
Children (up to age 10)
  • 30 minutes: $45.00

TRE (Trauma Releasing Exercises)
  • 60 minutes: $55.00
**On site/home visits for Restorative Massage/Massage Therapy: may be available for those in the Charlottetown area who have not the ability to come in for an in office appointment at Able Healthcare. Travel fees will apply. (Oncology or other very ill patients, non-mobile patients)

Payment Options

  • We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Debit coming soon for tap cards (only).
  • Payment for treatments is due on the day of the appointment, unless discussed prior to the day with your therapist.

Insurance Coverage

  • Massage Therapy is covered by most extended healthcare insurance plans; check your policy for details. A receipt is given at the end of your treatment, upon payment,  to submit for reimbursement for your therapy.
  • Direct billing is possible through Blue Cross, including VAC and RCMP, and Great West Life, and also for motor vehicle accident cases.
  • Please note that some extended insurance providers require a doctor’s referral for your insurance coverage, while others do not. Check your policy. If you do not have insurance coverage, you do not need a doctor’s referral to receive massage therapy.


  • A receipt is only written for the day the treatment was received and the person who received the treatment. It is issued only for a treatment actually received.
  • Duplicate receipts can be issued, but will be clearly marked as a duplicate.
  • Receipts for gift certificates will clearly state ‘ gift certificate purchase’. In most case extended healthcare plans will not accept receipts for gift certificates.

Late/No Show/Cancellation Policy

We understand that no one is perfect and sometimes things are beyond your control (bad weather, sudden illness, family emergencies, etc). In our desire to accommodate all of our clients, and out of consideration for our therapists’ time, we have adopted the following policies:
  • Our policy is simple. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be charged the full cost of the treatment as booked.
  • Please understand that massage therapists only get paid when they deliver treatment. Consequently, missed appointments are costly and prevent us from providing treatment to other clients.
  • If you are late for your appointment the treatment will still end at the designated time with no change in fee. If you know you will be late, please call, as soon as possible, to let us know.
  • If you are ill (ie: flu, cold), please refrain from booking a massage treatment until you have completely recovered. Thank you. We appreciate your understanding.

Privacy and Personal Boundaries

As healthcare providers, we must collect a certain amount of personal information from you in order to safely treat you.
  • Your personal information is never disclosed without your prior written permission. All information, including all discussion between you and your massage therapist, is completely confidential. Your information will never be provided to anyone for marketing purposes.
  • Respect for your boundaries is very important. If you are uncomfortable at any time, you may request to stop the massage. Please feel free to ask questions at any time.

Informed Consent​

  • Prior to each massage session, a treatment plan will be discussed with you.
  • Your therapist will then obtain your agreement to the impending treatment based on full disclosure as to what you should expect before, during and after the treatment.
  • You give your consent on the treatment with full knowledge of what’s going on.

Scent-free Policy

We offer a scent-free environment at Able Healthcare, to provide a healthy space for ourselves and our clients.
  • Please refrain from wearing scented products, such as perfumes, aftershaves, colognes, shampoos and conditioners, soaps, body lotions and deodorants.
  • Here at Able Healthcare, we promote a healthy life style and encourage you not to smoke. If you do smoke, we ask you to please refrain from smoking at least one hour prior to coming to the office. Thank you.

Please turn your cell phone off or put your ringer on silence mode. This helps maintain a relaxing and calm environment for you.
